Case study, part #2

I set up a site with TVstreamScript 1.7 about one month ago. For a while I wasn’t doing anything with it. About 2 weeks ago I started submitting episodes to Sidereel and TVduck. Right now it receives pretty decent traffic but its not quite at its best

Also its started earning a bit of money. Not too much, a little over $100 but its not too bad considering i didn’t spend more than 10 minutes on it daily

I will submit some more episodes to Sidereel and start promoting it to BlinkX as well and keep you posted with the results. Also maybe turning on Graboid and Adversal to maximalize the earnings. Stay tuned

New features and plugins

I totally forgot to make a blogpost about the release of v1.7 so now I’m doing it along with the announcement of our new plugins

Version 1.7 comes with some great features you guys requested. Feature highlights:
1. Multi embeds for Movies
2. Live TV channels (database pre-loaded with 179 international channels)
3. SEO tools, now you can manage your title and meta tags
4. New embed types, including videobb and vidbux
And of course many many more

Also today we announced two great new plugins:

movieFeed
movieFeed is a great tool to grab the latest movies automatically and store it in your database. You don’t have to worry about having the freshest content, the plugin will get it for you. The plugin is running on a cronjob and it grabs up to 40 movies with up to 15 embed codes at a time.

SportEvents
Sport Events plugin will get you all the sport events happening right now with embed codes. Its a great way to gain returning visitors to your site. Football, Basketball, Ice hockey? Doesn’t matter, your site will have it

Case study, part #1

Two days ago we set up a brand new website using TVstreamScript which we will use to demonstrate the power of the script. We imported the database of over 16k episodes and submitted around 3000 of them to Sidereel. Lets see the traffic stats after 2 days

As you can see the site recieves around 1.7k uniques so far, which is not bad for a new site but it will be much better in a couple of days. For now I’m not using any advertisement on the site, i will turn it on when it is receiving about 10k uniques. Stay tuned

Let’s blog

So as you can see we started our blog to keep you updated with everything related to the site and the script, and to show you interesting case studies and best practices on how to run a TV show / movie website

As you may know we have proper support now. We hired Jonathan (inturpo) to help us out with email support and forum moderation. He is the owner of the biggest TVstreamScript powered website(inturpo.com) so I’m pretty sure he will be a good addition to the team

We are already working on the next version, here are some feature highlights:
- ability to add live tv feeds and categorize them
- videobb grabber
- multi-embeds for movies
- better movie grabbing, editing
- movie submitters (if we can find good places to submit to, any ideas?)
and of course bugfixes for all the problems you reported
